The people of Guanabacoa, Havana, have given the town a well-earned reputation for being a creative hub. As a result, the creation of a martial arts themed restaurant within its borders is not out of place or unfamiliar. Enthusiasts of the US competition the Ultimate Fighting Championship, a local Guanabacoa couple decided to name their family restaurant after the shorthand version of the Championship, UFC.
The restaurant is decorated in a cosy and familial manner, inviting customers to enjoy their meals and feel at home.
The menu is vast with a variety of salads and snacks on offer. If in need of something more substantial, the restaurant also offers a range of sandwiches and hamburgers, popular pasta dishes and pizzas. Away from the fast food, wholesome meat and seafood dishes are also available, amongst which you will find: chicken, lamb, pork, fish and other shellfish recipes. A popular recommendation is the whole roasted chicken, filled with ham and rice, sold under the name “UFC chicken”. The meal priced at 250 pesos (10 cuc/ 5 cuc per person), and recommended for two, is an affordable and high quality option.
